About Us
Makerere Yamba Development Initiative is anon – Government charity in Uganda duly registered. It started way back in 2015 as a voluntary initiative by 3 people who committed resources to help out two widows whose husbands passed on due to HIV but had 4 kids whose school was no more for some time. The drive to help these widows with school fees came from a similar background these volunteers had passed through when growing up.
The best way to ensure change in any community is to educate its children in a way that releases them to become responsible citizens. In the localities we serve only 1 out of every three kids can afford to go to school. Our goal is to ensure that every child can possibly have access to education a tool that empowers them to become responsible and able citizens.

Promoting and advancing the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable children through empowering lives and transforming communities with a holistic approach to Education, spiritual growth, economic and social development
Our Mission
To give hope and support to vulnerable children especially Orphaned Children via a sponsorship program to have access to school fees, school requirements, and other essential needs like Food, shelter, clothing, and Medical care for the homeless children.
